We study the collective motion of bacteria when introduced to flow-fields

We study membrane mechanics under various conditions. For example, we study the motion of externally actuated lipid membranes. We are also using microfluidic techniques to investigate the mechanical and thermodynamic properties of new systems such as phase-separated polymer systems and hydrogels.

We study the transport properties of active metamaterials.
